The beanie is inspired by the wool watch caps used by both the British and the US army during WW1, with a slightly updated design including the curved hem. If it's really cold you can also wear the cap with the long part of the hem in your neck to protect against the cold winds. Please note that if you find the fit slightly loose, these hats can be washed according to their
