Georgian Three-Tone Gold Padlock Pendant mourning Width of links: 7DATE: Georgian, c. 1810 This wonderful antique padlock was made in France at the height of Napoleon's First French Empire (circa 1810). It's crafted in 18 karat rose gold, with applied three tone gold ornamentation to the front: rose gold flowers, green gold vine leaves, and a yellow gold background. The craftsmanship, as with much French jewellery of this period, is nothing short of exceptional. Made at time when France had established hegemony over
